World Order

Privacy policy

Last updated 7 October 2026.

This policy explains what World Order (“we”, “the game”) collects when you visit this site or play, why, and the choices you have. We collect as little as the game needs to work.

What we collect

Your account

You sign in with your email address. We send a one-time sign-in code to it and keep the address to identify your account. We don't ask for your name, phone number or payment details.

What you do in the game

The game stores your actions in each World you join: orders, deals, alliances, messages to other players and anything you publish in the Gazette. Other players in the same World see what the rules let them see, such as your country's public moves and the messages you send them. What you publish in the Gazette is public to everyone in that World.

Usage events

To balance and improve the game, we record game events such as a deal being proposed, a battle starting or a screen being opened, linked to your account and the World. These records stay in our own database and are not sold or shared with advertisers.

Alerts

If you turn on alerts, your browser gives us a push subscription, an address its push service uses to deliver notifications to your device. We use it only to send game alerts, and turning alerts off switches it off.

On your device

The app keeps your sign-in session and a few display preferences, such as which map layers are on and which tips you've seen, in your browser's local storage. They never leave your device.

Advertising and cookies

World Order may show ads in the Gazette, and only there. Those ads are served by Google AdSense, and Google's ad script loads only when you open the Gazette.

Learn more about how Google uses information from sites that use its services. If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, you'll be asked for your consent before personalised ads are shown, and you can change your choice at any time.

World Order itself sets no advertising or tracking cookies.

Who processes your data

We don't sell your personal information to anyone.

How long we keep it

We keep your account and your game history while your account exists, so finished Worlds, results and records stay accurate for everyone who played in them. If you ask us to delete your account, we delete your email address and sign-in. Your past moves stay in finished Worlds under your country's name, without anything that identifies you.

Your choices and rights

Children

World Order isn't directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has given us their details, contact us and we'll delete them.

Changes

If we change this policy, we'll update the date at the top of this page. Significant changes will also be announced in the game.
